Verdiso, Conte Collalto 2019 - Case of 6 (save £7)

The Collalto family have owned vineyards since the 10th Century with the current cellars built in 1904. The estate in the Susegana hills, with 150ha of vines some up to 50 years old, is now in the hands of Principessa Issabella Collalto de Cröy and renowned for its rich, elegant Prosecco Superiore wines. They also make this charming, unusual expression of the Verdiso grape, sometimes blended alongside Glera in Prosecco but here used on its own to make a refreshingly dry, expressive wine with crisp apple/pear fruit and just a touch of lively effervescence: a very distinctive apéritif.
