Gusbourne Estate Pinot Noir 2018

Gusbourne's Pinot Noir, produced in tiny quantities in only the best vintages, is one of the best examples of its kind. Fruit is from the south-facing Boot Hill vineyard on an ancient escarpment, hand-harvested, fermented destemmed and subsequently aged in French oak barrels (20% new) for nine months before bottling. Full of soft strawberry and morello cherry notes alongside fresh cranberry and raspberry, with an underlying earthiness and slight smoky spice, finishing with herbal minerality and some supple tannins.
