Falerio DOC, Saladini Pilastri 2022

Superb character and value from this distinctive blend from an unusual appellation in a little-known region. Saladini Pilastri are one of the oldest families in the Marche, with 200 hectares just north of the Abruzzo in the rolling hills behind the walled city of Ascoli Piceno. All the vineyards are farmed organically and the Falerio is floral and lively with hints of green apple, citrus and herbs with some bitter almond on the finish. A highly refreshing wine but with enough depth to make it ideal with food.
