Dom Rafael Branco, Herdade do Mouchao 2019

The renowned Mouchao estate has been owned by the Reynolds family since the mid 19th Century, except for a brief period following the the 1974 revolution after which it was reclaimed and subsequently restored. There are now 32ha of vines, predominantly red varieties including the Alicante Bouschet for which Mouchao is best known. However they also make this characterful blend of three typical Portuguese white varieties, soft and generous with a combination of crisp citrus freshness, more rounded exotic fruit and mineral intensity.
