Montsant Negre, Terroir Sense Fonteres 2018

Terroir Sans Fronteres is the latest project of Dominik Huber, renowned winemaker at Terroir Al Limit in Priorat, at this tiny estate of just 4ha up in the hills in neighbouring Montsant. Fruit from old Garnacha and Carinena vines in vineyards surrounding the village of Capcanes are blended and whole-bunch fermented, without any oak, to make this characterful, expressive and concentrated wine with dark cherry, herb and earthy spice notes with touches of licorice and fine, elegant tannins.
