Ch de Francs, Cotes des Francs 2018

This property, with 27.5 hectares of vines, is one of the most highly regarded in the Cote des Francs and is co-owned by Dominque Hebrard and Hubert de Brouard, the latter also the owner of renowned Chateau Angelus in Saint Emilion. The vineyards, with an average age of 30 years, lie on one of the highest hillsides in the Gironde. All harvesting is by hand and the wines are matured for 14 months in barriques (20% new). This is soft, supple right-bank Bordeaux with ripe, dark berry fruit but plenty of underlying structure.
