Ch La Tour de By, Medoc 2015

Textbook traditional claret from a beautifully situated property, owned by the Pagès family, overlooking the Gironde estuary with 77 hectares of 40+ year old vines: a fairly classic Medoc blend, predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, aged 16 months in new to three year old oak barriques. Lots of ripe, forward blackcurrant fruit and cedar notes, elegantly textured with soft rounded tannins, this is drinking very well now and will continue to develop for a good few years yet.
